About the Cottage

Situated in an elevated south facing position, Ty Bach is a peaceful retreat yet just a stones throw from the local beach and all that the Lleyn Peninsula has to offer.

Arrive along a wooded track to the warm stone walls of this unashamedly rustic cottage. One part of a traditional Welsh longhouse, it is the perfect place for relaxing at the end of a day exploring the local area.

A wide slate hall leads to a generous, beamed family living room, inviting you to sink deeply into the comfortable sofas and enjoy the wood burning fireplace.

A TV, DVD player and wi-fi are all provided.

Gently warmed by the Rayburn, the oak kitchen is very well appointed for easy and adventurous cooking.

There's a traditional kitchen table to gather around, along with an electric oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer.

Also on the ground floor is the light and comfortable master bedroom, with large double bed and antique furnishings beneath a beamed ceiling.

A warm, well proportioned bathroom is downstairs, along with a separate wet room, both with heated floors.

Stairs lead to a twin room with antique brass beds and views over the pretty orchard.

A further beamed attic bedroom has 2 single beds and views to the south and the sea.

French doors open from the living room onto the large, lawned country garden. Enjoy alfresco dining in the warmer months or wander down through the meadows to the River Erch, great for an evening stroll or a days fishing (permits available locally).

There is ample parking and local towns and villages are within easy reach.

Linen and towels are provided. We only ask that guests strip their beds before leaving due to additional cleaning methods re Covid.  Guests need to bring their own beach towels.

Wi-fi is provided and mobile phone network coverage is reasonable, available from GSM and 3G/4G signal access points.

Children of all ages are very welcome to stay with you at the cottage, however please note that we are not able to provide a cot or highchair.

Unfortunately pets are not able to stay at the cottage.

Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.

What Our Guests Say

"Have told friends how good the cottage is. And so well situated."

LOCAL AREA

Things to Do

With more than 100 miles of largely undiscovered coastline and the stunning Snowdonia National Park within easy reach, the Lleyn Peninsula is a fabulous base for an active family holiday.

There are long stretches of sand to be found on the southern beaches, isolated crags and surfers bays on the northern coastline. It’s utter bliss for nature lovers, with seals a fairly regular sight for walkers along the coast path.

When you've tired of the beaches then head off to the hills for a whole new perspective on the countryside. There are "starter" hills on the Peninsula itself, or Snowdonia just a short drive away for summits to shout about...and a whole new way to tire out the children!
